Industry came together to remember popular industry figure, the late Colin Tophill, for a special golf event.

Colin, known by many in the industry, had for many years organised the popular Tophill Tournament, an industry-wide golf day attended by retailers and suppliers. The event was due to take place in 2020 before Covid-19 hit, but sadly, Colin passed away the same year, prior to the pandemic.

This year, the Colin Tophill Memorial Golf Day was able to take place in June at Windlesham Golf Club as a special celebration of Colin, attended by his wife, Doreen, and family, and aided by Paula Tapley in the organisation.

A range of companies were in attendance, including WFBM Healthcare, Lamberts, Quest, Natural Trade Brokers and Pharmamedico, in addition to the HFMA.

Health Food Business Editor, Rachel Symonds, and Sales Director, Ruth Gilmour, were delighted to attend as sponsors of both the Nearest the Pin, and the Supplier Team prize. The Single Stableford Competition Winner was Carl Zimmatore, from Nutribrand, while second prize went to Ty Cato, Colin’s gardener. Retailer, Janak Patel, was third, and Kevin Douglas, from ProVen, was fourth.

The Team Prize was won by Simon Moses, Martin Watson, Janak Patel and Paul Drew, while Longest Drive and Nearest the Pin in three were both won by Cameron Mackay. The Scratch Prize went to Danny Alford, from Lamberts, while winning the putting competition was Barney de Beer, from Quest. The Health Food Business Nearest the Pin prize went to Alex Dyer, who won a case of wine, while the Supplier Team prize, winning some free advertisements in Health Food Business , was won by Schwabe Pharma.
