Holland & Barrett has announced the launch of an extensive vegan food to go range.

The health food chain made the move in six of its London stores to cater to the growing demand in the capital for affordable vegan and vegetarian lunches and includes plant-based options from brands including Deliciously Ella, Vita Coco, Hippeas and Captain Kombucha. There are plans to roll this out further based on consumer demand.

The launch sees Holland & Barrett sell fresh foods, including veggie sandwiches, wraps and salads, probiotic yoghurts, and a selection of health pots.

Ian Chant, Head of Food at Holland & Barrett, advised that there has been mounting demand from customers for vegan and veggie lunch-to-go options.
