The Health Store attracted hundreds of retailers recently for its biannual Open Day.

The wholesaler opened the doors of its Nottingham HQ on July 1 for an event that it said proved to be its best yet, a statistic supported by a 30 per cent increase in exhibiting suppliers and greater quantity of retailer attendance, with almost 200 in all.

With retailers attending from all over the UK and Europe, including Southern Ireland, Malta, Portugal and Sweden, Sales and Marketing Director, Paul Rideout, said the show allowed everyone to engage in an informal, unhurried atmosphere and provided them with an excellent platform to experience the organisation and its personnel at close hand.

One of the biggest winners on the day was Anne Menzies, of Birkdale Health Store, who won the first prize in the raffle, £4,000 of stock. Seafood Health Store’s Daniel and Sara Pollard were the winners of a European weekend break, and Ruth Noah, of Noah’s Health Foods, won a large THS hamper at the Saturday dinner event the night before.

“However, there were other
prize winners and we congratulate them all and of course thank everyone for attending and
making it such a superb event,” Paul added.

The team from Health Food Business were also exhibiting to hand out copies of the magazine, and were delighted to sponsor the welcome drinks reception the evening before.
