NAHS calls for brands to include independents as stockists

The National Association of Health Stores (NAHS) is calling on manufacturers and suppliers to include independent health stores in their list of stockists.

The organisation wants to see brands remind shoppers that their products are stocked in independents too.
NAHS Administrator, Avril McCracken, commented: “We all see the adverts placed by manufacturers and suppliers in newspapers, on social media and even on buses, tube trains and TV, promoting their products and urging consumers to buy them from supermarkets, pharmacies, H&B and recently, directly from themselves. However, independent health stores sell their products too, and in these difficult times, we don’t think it is unreasonable to ask manufacturers and suppliers to help support our dedicated and hardworking retailers by including Independent health stores in the list of stockists of their products.

“All NAHS members are listed on our store finder app, www.findmyhealthstore.co.uk, which we are more than happy to be used and even if some stores don’t currently sell a product being advertised, what better way to get them to start selling it, than by promoting them as stockists! It’s a win for manufacturers and suppliers and it’s a win for independent health stores!”
