With an industry as fast-paced as the plant-based sector, innovation is occurring across the supply chain from an ingredient level through to packaging. When Plant Based World Expo Europe opens at ExCeL London on 13 November, the full breadth of innovation and trends will be on display.
The two-day event for the food and beverage industry will feature an international exhibition with over 100 exhibitors and three theatres of educational content, led by industry experts. Companies exhibiting at the event will feature their latest products and industry-firsts:
Beanstalk Foods (Stand H28): Hailing from Madrid, Spain, Beanstalk Foods focuses on plant-based salami and seafood alternatives. Although new to Europe, they are making waves with innovative products like ambient salami and seafood rings. Their goal is to redefine traditional food choices with sustainable, plant-based alternatives.
Cuíca (Stand C12): Cuíca, a foodtech company based in São Paulo, Brazil, is presenting their innovative Brazil Nut Milk at the show. As a company focused on developing healthy and sustainable food products, Cuíca’s first-time appearance at the Plant-Based World highlights their commitment to eco-friendly solutions. They have a unique story, rooted in a business model that promotes environmental and social impact.
Dreamfarm (Stand E24): Dreamfarm is a company hailing from Parma, Italy, specialising in Nutri-Score A plant-based cheeses. At the trade show, they will be launching their new plant-based ricotta. Known for their commitment to healthy and sustainable dairy alternatives, Dreamfarm continues to innovate in the plant-based cheese sector.
JASPAT International (Stand L11): JASPAT offers plant-based alternatives to egg products, with key offerings including their “EggNot” Plant-Based Vegan Egg Powder. Coming from Singapore, they are showcasing this innovative powder as an alternative to traditional eggs, targeting those looking for a vegan-friendly substitute without compromising on texture or flavour.
Jay & Joy (Stand G12): Since 2015, Parisian-based Jay & Joy have pioneered plant-based cheese production in France. They are known for their artisanal and organic products, and at the show, they will be exhibiting their new feta alternative. Jay & Joy remains a leader in providing plant-based cheeses that are both ethical and delicious.
Konscious Foods (Stand E40): Konscious Foods are a well-known brand in North America, and they are on a mission to bring delectable and sustainable plant-based seafood alternatives to the masses. They are introducing their new Plant-Based Classic Smoked Salmon at the event, aiming to provide a sustainable option that mirrors the taste and texture of traditional smoked salmon.
PLATATINE (Stand E36): Italy-based PLATATINE offers three product families: a superior chips line made with natural ingredients like plantain, manioc, and sweet potato; an innovative healthy line with unique flours and pasta made from these ingredients; and their nature line, which showcases fresh raw materials. At the show, they are launching “Mnemosine,” the world’s first 100 per cent plantain flour pasta, certified gluten-free and made without binders or additives. This product reflects cultural fusion and nutritional potential, offering benefits for various health conditions while maintaining the versatility and flavour of traditional pasta.
Väcka (Stand F18a): Väcka is a Spanish start-up that designs plant-based cheese alternatives, using a mix of traditional cheese-making techniques and modern technology. Their products, made from melon seeds and olive oil, are aimed at providing healthier and sustainable cheese options. At the show, they will be debuting their new product, 100 per cent plant-based “Mozza di Bufalla,” as part of their Veggie Pizza Warriors campaign, launching on World Ecology Day.
