Glebe Farm Foods, the UK’s leading producer of gluten-free, 100 per cent pure British oats, has announced the launch of its latest plant-based innovation, PureOaty Tea-rrific. This game-changing new oat drink has been crafted specifically to be enjoyed with the nation’s favourite beverage.

Despite tea being the leading use of milk in the UK, there’s a distinct lack of oat-based alternatives for enjoying in a cup of tea. While other oat brands on the market have focused on innovating around coffee – a smaller consumption occasion for milk when compared to tea at 28 per cent versus 48 per cent – Glebe Farm Foods has created the perfect oat-based accompaniment for what us Brits enjoy drinking the most.

Research shows a wider adoption of milk alternatives in tea is hindered by fear of affecting the taste and the colour and concerns around splitting, all of which detract from the much-loved tea-drinking experience. Now, PureOaty Tea-rrific has entered the plant-based beverage scene to fill this significant gap in the market.

After extensive development, the ‘oat experts’ at Glebe Farm Foods have perfected the gluten-free recipe, addressing taste, colour, and stability and ensuring that it does not split to deliver a perfect, great tasting cuppa every time.

After being blind tested on 120 consumers, 74 per cent said they enjoyed Tea-rrific’s smooth tea experience, 75 per cent reported it maintained the rich tea colour and 79 per cent confirmed they would be purchasing Tea-rrific for themselves.

Philip Rayner, Owner and Managing Director of Glebe Farm Foods, commented: “We’re incredibly proud to introduce Tea-rrific to the market. We saw a clear need for a high-quality, plant-based alternative that could truly enhance the tea-drinking experience. Our team has worked tirelessly to perfect this product, and we believe it will set a new standard for oat drinks in tea. With Tea-rrific, we’re not just offering an alternative; we’re offering a superior choice that caters to all tea lovers, including those with gluten sensitivities.”

Being completely British-made and produced onsite, PureOaty Tea-rrific, like all PureOaty products, also boasts the lowest carbon footprint score of any oat drink on the UK market; at 0.268KG CO2e per litre, its carbon footprint is on average 54 per cent lower than competitor brands .
